Communication with Parents - Groupcall Messenger

Students in all year groups have been issued with packs which contain a leaflet, letter and forms for completion regarding the implementation of groupcall at the school.  Glasgow City Council, Education Services it always looking at ways to improve and enhance our communication with parents and students.  A programme will now be available at Hyndland Secondary from session 2018-2019 called Groupcall Messenger.  It allows us to provide information directly to parents and carers on their mobiles and to their email addresses at high speed.   Depending on the reason for contacting you, we will either send an email or a text message to your mobile phone.  We may also choose to send some messages in duplicate (i.e. text & email).  If neither of these communication methods suit your needs, please contact the school.

From next session our main method of communication with you will now be through the use of texts and emails.  It is therefore important that the school has your current email and mobile contact details.

Can we please ask parents to check the forms and complete the contact details form and return this to the school office as soon as possible?  This will help us to ensure that we can provide the correct information to parents from the start of next session.

Many thanks in advance for your help with this.
