Hyndland Secondary School

On Tuesday 14th November our first meeting will be held for parents and carers of our S1 students.  Students will be issued with letters and appointment sheets on Tuesday 31st October and will be given some information regarding making appointments.  Electronic copies of these can be found below:

Students are advised to make around 8 appointments for the evening as it will be impossible to meet all teachers at this evening.  We would suggest that the students make appointments with their core subjects namely English and Maths as well as with their Pastoral Care Teacher.  They should then choose another 4-5 subjects - these can be a mix of subjects which they are very much enjoying as well as perhaps subjects which they may be struggling with (if appropriate). 

On the evening all parents should also build in time to attend a workshop which will run during the evening - the workshop will provide valuable information on both Show my Homework as well as the literacy and numeracy programme that is covered during Personal Support Time each day in S1.  Information about time slots for this workshop can be found on the pupil appointment sheet.
