S5 INTO S6 OPTIONS INFO EVENING - THURS 6 MARCH
Dear S5 families
We are now preparing to embark upon the S6 options process with our current S5 students. Over the course of this term, several activities will take place to help support both our learners and their families in choosing their subjects for S6. The first event to support families and young people is an Information Evening which will be delivered online via Teams. The evening is aimed at both S5 students and their families and will provide key advice and guidance on selecting subjects to study in S6.
The event will take place virtually on Microsoft Teams on Thursday 6th March starting at 6.30pm and will last no more than 30 minutes. The link to join the meeting has been posted on the S5 Year group team which can be accessed via your young person’s glow account. Please use your young person’s school iPad or their glow log in to join the Teams call as only glow users will be able to access the meeting.
During this event members of the Senior Leadership Team will provide key information about the subject choice process. Pastoral Care will also be in attendance online to discuss the support that will be provided to guide young people into a positive destination beyond S6. Mr Mullin will also be in attendance to discuss the senior phase college courses that young people can select to study in S6 as part of their curriculum.
