Ways to nurture well-being - help with home school event

On Wednesday 17th February Glasgow City Council Parents Forum have organised an event being led by Glasgow City Council Educational Psychology Team to help support home learning and support families during this challenging time.  Parents can register for this free event via the link below on Eventbrite

OVERVIEW OF EVENT

We know how challenging it is just now for parents juggling home schooling, work and just day to day family life. In this current climate it is so important that you can take time to look after your own physical and mental health.

Glasgow Psychological Service have put together a webinar for GCPG to look at ways to nurture your own wellbeing as parents and carers, with practical strategies to take away. In addition there will be some top tips to help with home schooling. We do hope you can join us.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the webinar however please note individual cases cannot be commented on.

Presenters:

Jenni Kerr is the Nurture Development Officer for Glasgow, who has a key role in helping to support Glasgow become our nurturing city. She has worked for Glasgow City Council Education Services for the past 20 years as a support for learning worker, primary teacher and Senior Educational Psychologist. A central focus has been to promote the positive mental health and wellbeing of children, young people, families and staff through the development of nurturing approaches across the city.

Larissa Cunningham is one of the Educational Psychologists working in the South team in Glasgow Psychological Services. Larissa has worked in Glasgow for the last 18 months and was previously an Educational Psychologist working in Portsmouth after training at the University of Southampton. Larissa is passionate about nurture and supporting children in the Early Years.

Ailsa Darling is an educational psychologist from the South team within Glasgow Psychological service. Ailsa has worked as an educational psychologist for Glasgow City Council for over two years. She is passionate about nurturing and solution-oriented approaches to support the wellbeing of children, young people and families.
