Primary 7 Transition Information Evening - 24th May 2017
Many thanks to the parents, carers and primary 7 children who came along to our final P7 into S1 transition Information Evening on Wednesday 24th May. The event began with an introduction from our head teacher Ms McNeil. Mrs Forrester (Depute Head with responsibility for P7/S1) provided an overview of the S1 curriculum at Hyndland as well as the wide range of opportunities available for our young people at Hyndland Secondary School. Mr Carstairs from the Pastoral Care Team provided information about the role of Pastoral Care in supporting young people through the primary-secondary transition and beyond. Mrs Forrester closed the evening by providing information about our S1 Residential holiday to Barcaple which takes place in September.
We have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming the P7 children to our two recent induction days and look forward to them joining us in August as part of our new S1 intake.
