LGBT Spirit Day - Wear purple to school - Thurs 11th October

Our newly formed LGBT+ group at Hyndland are working hard to support our move towards achieving the Bronze stage of the LGBT Youth Scotland School Charter.

 

As a result of this, our extremely pro-active group of young people have decided that our first official event will be a combined celebration of Spirit Day and National Coming Out Day this coming Thursday (11th October).

 

Spirit Day is a worldwide day of LGBT+ awareness that was started by a Canadian teenager, Brittany McMillan in 2010. Supporters of the day simple wear something purple to demonstrate their solidarity with those in the LGBT+ community. More information is available by clicking on the link below:
