P7 Induction Days - 22nd and 23rd May 2018
As the final part of our induction process for Primary 7 pupils, pupils are invited to attend Hyndland Secondary for a two-day “timetabled experience”, when they will follow a typical S1 day, meet some of the other pupils who will be in their year in August, find their way around the school and meet some of the members of staff who will teach them next session. They will also have the opportunity to experience first hand the talents of secondary youngsters as an audience member to various school presentations.
These visits will take place on
Tuesday 22 May from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm and
Wednesday 23 May from 8.45 am to 3.00 pm.
There will also be a meeting for parents, on the evening of Wednesday 23 May at 6 pm in the school’s Airlie Theatre.
On the first day pupils should report to the playground at 9 am on the first day where they will be directed by staff and then take part in Assembly in the Airlie Theatre.
On the second day they should be in school for 8.45 am and report to the Theatre.
School lunches will be available for sale in the Fuel Zone on each of these days and those who prefer a packed lunch are also free to eat there. Pupils who are entitled to free meals should receive a ticket for each day from their primary school.
Pupils should also bring a PE kit on both days.
You will understand that it is much easier for us to supervise pupils for these two days if they do not leave the school grounds at lunchtime and I would therefore appreciate if it is necessary that they leave school (and only in exceptional circumstances) that parents would provide pupils with a note requesting permission to go out.
