Personal Support Time

From August 2017, students in S1 to S3 are participating in a programme of literacy, numeracy and health & well-being work during Personal Support Time.  Students attend Personal Support Time each day for 20 minutes.  Four times per week the students will work through a programme of materials which will help to further develop their skills which are essential not only for accessing the curriculum in both the broad general education and senior phase, but also to help for learning, life and work beyond their time at Hyndland Secondary School.

At each parents meeting this year for S1 to S3 students a workshop will run which will provide parents and carers with an overview of what Personal Support Time looks like here at Hyndland.  Parents can also access some useful information below which will provide an insight into work being undertaken.  We hope that you will be able to come along to a workshop during parents evening and also find the information below useful.

Questions regarding Personal Support Time should be directed to either your child's pastoral care teacher or year head in the first instance.
