S2 and S4/5 Information Evening - Thursday 22nd February 2018
On Thursday 22nd February two information events will be held for parents, carers and students. The purpose of each evening is to provide parents and students with information about the Options Choice Process as well as information about the curriculum and the support which will be provided to students during this time. Both events will be held in the Airlie Theatre. The format of the evening is as follows:
S2 Information Evening - 6pm
This evening will provide valuable information and advice about the S2 options process as students in S2 begin selecting subjects to study in S3 and S4. Mr Greechan DHT for S2/3 will provide information about the key dates in the options timeline as well as an overview of the S3 curriculum. A member of the Pastoral Care Team will attend to provide an overview of the support and guidance they will give to students as they undertake the options process. Kate McMahon from Skills Development Scotland will also be in attendance on the evening.
S5/6 Information Evening - 7pm - for parents of students in S4 and S5
This evening will provide parents with important information about the options process which students in the current S4 and S5 will undertake shortly for S5 and S6 courses. It is vital that students are aware of the advice and guidance we offer when considering which subjects to choose in S5/6. SQA will also be in attendance at this evening to provide valuable information for parents on the Post Results Service as well as to answer any questions which parents may have.
