Word Wizard competition
Word Wizard is a multilingual national spelling competition open to S1-S3 pupils learning French or Spanish.
There have been a number of pupils attending lunchtime sessions in order to develop their skills in learning vocabulary; pronunciation; spelling; recall and public speaking.
Well done to Liam Power 1A, Alexander Goss-Pastor 1E and Jakob Wozny 1B for their continued effort and hard work over the last few months.
Unfortunately, only one pupil could go through to the semi-finals at the University of Strathclyde on Friday 17th March. The successful candidate was Jakob Wozny - congratulations!
On Friday 17th March, Jakob Wozny of class 1B represented the school by attending the semi-final of the Word Wizard competition at the University of Strathclyde. He did very well under the pressure of a French 'spelling bee' and we hope that he gets to the final!!!
Well done Jakob!!!
