S1 Meet the Hyndland Family Event
Dear S1 families
We would like to invite you and your young person along to our Meet the Hyndland Family event on Wednesday 20th September from 3:30 to 5:00pm.
This event will give families an insight into some areas of S1 learning as well as some of the supports that are available. The event will be split in to four sessions to allow each of the house groups to rotate round. Sessions are as follows:
1. Meet the House Team (Pastoral Care and House Depute Head)
Meet the Fuel Zone staff and find out more about what is on offer at lunchtimes
Meet our Financial Inclusion Support Officer to receive advice on financial supports
Meet our FARE Youth Worker Jenny Wainwright to find out more about how she supports young people
2. Meet our Principal Teacher of Maths, Mr Henderson, to find out helpful tips and strategies on how you can support your young person with their learning at home
3. Meet our Acting Principal Teacher of English, Mr Tulloch, to find our helpful tips and strategies on how you can support your young person with their learning at home
4. Meet one of our Digital leads in Digital Learning, Mr Gillies, to find out more about how we use Microsoft Teams to support learning in school and at home and how you can engage with this too
We would ask families to arrive via the Main Entrance where they will be directed to the first session for their young person’s House group.
