On Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th August, S4 pupils studying National 5 Biology visited Pollock Park to work on their sampling techniques as part of their Life on Earth unit. Despite rain on the Monday, pupils on both days worked extremely hard and showed great enthusiasm as they learned to use quadrats, transect lines, and even got into the river to try some kick sampling for indicator species. Particular thanks go to Mrs Samuel, and all staff who helped, for organising this fantastic opportunity for pupils.
